Weather & Cancellations

  • You may cancel your charter for any reason up to 7 days prior to your scheduled charter date.
  • Cancellations made more than 7 days in advance will receive a refund of all payments. The deposit may be applied to a future date within 12 months, subject to availability.
  • Cancellations made within 7 days of the charter date will result in forfeiture of the $300 deposit.The deposit may be applied to a future date within 12 months, subject to availability, if you choose to reschedule.
  • If the charter is rescheduled and then cancelled, deposit is still nonrefundable.
  • Cancellations made within 72 hours (3 days) of the charter date are non-refundable, and Party Cat LLC reserves the right to retain all payments made.
  • No-shows and cancellations made after the scheduled departure time are non-refundable.
  • Time lost or a delayed departure due to guest tardiness will not be refunded or extended. The charter will end at the booked end time. We will return to the dock at most 15 minutes prior to the end time on every charter to allow guests to collect their belongings and disembark.
  • Safety is our top priority. All charters are subject to the professional judgment of the USCG-licensed captain.
  • Charters will not be canceled for light rain, overcast skies, or typical Charleston weather conditions.
  • If Party Cat LLC deems conditions safe and suitable to operate and the charter is willing to run, but the guest chooses not to proceed, no refund will be issued.
  • In the event of unsafe conditions (including but not limited to severe storms, high winds, lightning, or hazardous seas), Party Cat LLC may cancel, delay, or modify the charter.
  • If Party Cat LLC cancels due to unsafe weather or mechanical issues, guests will be offered a full refund or the option to reschedule at no additional cost.
  • If a charter is ended early due to weather, partial refunds will be issued at Party Cat LLC’s discretion and will be prorated based on time completed versus time scheduled.
  • Weather and safety decisions are typically made as close to departure time as reasonably possible, as marine conditions and guest conduct can change rapidly.

At Party Cat LLC, the safety, comfort, and enjoyment of our guests and crew is our top priority. All charters operate under the authority of a U.S. Coast Guard–licensed captain, whose decisions regarding safety, conduct, and operations are final.

By booking a charter and boarding a Party Cat LLC vessel, the booking party and all guests agree to comply with the following policies.
Failure to comply may result in immediate termination of the charter without refund.

Charters may be terminated immediately, without refund, at the captain’s discretion for reasons including but not limited to:

  • Unsafe, disruptive, or unacceptable guest behavior
  • Possession or use of illegal drugs
  • Failure to comply with crew instructions or vessel policies
  • Actions that place guests, crew, or the vessel at risk
  • Damage or improper use of the marine head
  • Excessive intoxication or illness impacting safety
  • Violation of policies outlined in pre-departure communications
  • Failure to pay the full charter balance by the stated due date
  • Captain’s discretion

If a charter is terminated for any reason other than weather, no refunds will be issued.

The booking party may incur additional charges for, but not limited to:

  • Exceeding the maximum guest count for the booked charter interval

Improper use of the marine head, including placing prohibited items such as:

  • Feminine hygiene products
  • Toilet paper
  • Any non-waste materials
  • Vomiting on the vessel
  • Damage to the boat, furnishings, equipment, or supplies
  • Unauthorized jumping off the vessel
  • $1,000 fine per incident, charged to the booking party

The booking party is financially responsible for the conduct of all guests in their group.
